في بعض الأحيان لا يوجد سبب واضح لاستيقاظك أثناء الليل. وهذا ما يسمى بالأرق الأولي . قد يكون ذلك بسبب أن عقلك يبقى أكثر يقظة – يقظًا جدًا – عندما يجب أن يكون نائمًا. قد يكون هذا بسبب بعض الاختلاف الجسدي في الدماغ ، ربما بسبب جيناتك. لكن الأطباء ليسوا متأكدين بعد ويواصلون دراسة المشكلة.
